CHRIST EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH

Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church is located adjacent to a major shopping center in Orland Park, Illinois, a rapidly growing suburb southwest of Chicago. A major addition to their existing church building was required to adequately serve the needs of a growing congregation.

The upper level of the addition includes a large narthex area, administrative offices, kitchen and a multi-purpose fellowship hall. The lower level includes a choir room, classrooms and a pre-school with 2 classrooms with access to a sunken garden play area.

The exterior and interior finishes were selected to blend with the original church building. A covered area over the driveway was created at the main entrance to the church.

The 23,000 square foot addition was constructed in 1990 at a cost of $1.8 million.
