Principles

Kenneth P. Stromsland, A.I.A., is a principal and has been a member of this firm since 1963. He received a Bachelor of Architecture in 1962 from Illinois Institute of Technology and is a registered architect in the state of Illinois. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects, and many community organizations such as the Board of Directors of Trinity Services, Inc. and the Will-Joliet Bicentennial Park, Inc. His design experience includes a broad variety of religious, educational, medical, industrial, municipal and commercial buildings. He has recently served as Managing Architect for the Specialty Care Pavilion at Silver Cross Hospital, the New Ice Arena for the Joliet Park District, the New Lenox Medical Center, the Barber-Oberwortmann Horticultural Center, the Juvenile Justice Center for Will County, the Joliet Area Community Hospice Residential and Office Center, the Will-Grundy Medical Clinic,  the Will County Courthouse and the Will County Adult Detention Facility Expansion.

Ross De Young is a principal and has been a member of this firm since 1979. He received a Bachelor degree in Architecture in 1948 and a Master of Architecture in 1951 from Yale University, and is a registered architect in the states of Illinois and California. His experience includes 26 years with other firms, many of those years as principal. His design experience includes a broad variety of educational, religious, medical, municipal and commercial buildings. His expertise is in the design of educational facilities, and has recently served as Managing Architect for Our Savior Lutheran Church, the Joliet Public Library Addition, Senior Housing for New Lenox Township and the Black Road Branch of the Joliet Public Library.

 

 

Managers

Rob Fitzgerald has been with this firm since 1986. He received his architectural education from the School of Architecture at the University of Illinois in Chicago. He adds his special ability in construction documents production and construction phase services to our firm. He has served as project architect for several recent major projects such as medical clinics for Silver Cross Hospital, the Christ Lutheran Church Addition, the Will County Courthouse Renovation, the Inwood Ice Area for the Joliet Park District, the Will County Juvenile Justice Center, the Joliet Job Corps Center Female Dormitory, the Specialty Care Pavilion and the Will County Adult Detention Facility Expansion..  

James Prybys, A.I.A. has been with this firm since 1989. He received a Bachelor of Architecture Degree from the Illinois Institute of Technology in 1984 and is currently a registered architect in the state of Illinois. Jim has served as project manager for several recent major projects such as New Lenox Medical Center, Trinity Services Living Centers, the Barber-Oberwortmann Horticultural Center, Judson Memorial Baptist Church, St. Paul's Lutheran Church, the Inwood Ice Arena for the Joliet Park District, the Will County Juvenile Justice Center, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Office Building and Meeting Hall, the Will-Grundy Medical Clinic, the Will-Joliet Bicentennial Park, the Joliet Area Community Hospice and the Will County Adult Detention Facility Expansion. Jim also directs the CAD operations for our firm.

 

 

 

PROJECT ARCHITECTS

Gregory Dinges joined our firm in 2005.  Greg received a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2005.  His experience includes the Physical Therapy at Silver Cross Hospital-West, MRI Suite for Glen Oaks Hospital, Residence for John and Rita Shure, the Will County Adult Detention Facility and the Isle a la Cache Museum Addition and Renovation.

 

 

INTERIOR DESIGNER

Judith Stromsland has been with this firm since 1984. She is a graduate of the Ray Vogue School of Design and is currently registered as an Interior Designer in the state of Illinois. She has provided interior design coordination for all of our projects since joining the firm, including the Inwood Ice Arena, the Barber-Obertwortmann Horticultural Center for the Joliet Park District, the Will County Juvenile Justice Center, the Silver Cross Hospital Specialty Care Pavilion, Joliet Area Community Hospice, all religious projects, the Will-Grundy Medical Clinic, the Will County Courthouse and the Joliet Area Community Hospice.

 

 

ADMINISTRATIVE SECRETARY

Jamie Claudio has been with this firm since 1995. She has broad experience in processing the communications and reports required for all types of projects. She is also responsible for the word processing function as it relates to the production of specifications.
