The existing Woodbine Golf Course Clubhouse was expanded to add 16,000 square feet to the original building’s area. The addition created a banquet hall seating 300 on the main floor and also included a warming kitchen, two bars, a bridal room, restrooms, locker rooms, pro shop and lobby. Office and storage areas were created on the upper level. The basement provided storage area. The existing portion of the building was extensively renovated with the cocktail lounge, restaurant and kitchen reorganized to provide improved efficiency. A new private dining area was also created. The existing timber framing remained in order to retain the existing rustic aesthetic and a new stone fireplace was constructed. With the addition of the banquet hall, the clubhouse became a year-round facility for a variety of events and dining. Special attention was given to color selection and natural lighting in order to provide a pleasant working environment. The building has face brick exterior walls with aluminum windows and an asphalt shingle roof. Interior finishes include carpet, ceramic tile, vinyl wall covering and acoustical tile ceilings. The building has an emergency power generator and a gated secure parking area. The 11,700 square foot building was completed in 1992 for a cost of $1.3 million. |
